Great location just in the heart of Florence Nice and helpful staff Parking just around the corner, city market also very close. Our room was very nice vintage stylized, homely and enough equiped at the same time.
Quite poor breackfast, mostly due to size of breackfast room and the hotel. But its not a big problem when you are in the center of the city.
Despite the fact that we were a little late for the check-in, the reception at our arrival was fantastic. The ambient of the hotel is really nice; nicely decorated, especially the stairway and the rooms. The rooms are very clean and fresh. The situation of the hotel is wonderful; in the middle of the center and most important... Quiet. Although it is situated very near the market, we did not hear any noice. I could suggest this hotel to anyone that does not want to spend too much money and have a wonderful stay at the same time.
Nothing new for Italy; breakfast. The breakfast could be improved a lot. Coffee, tea or other beverages had to be taken out from machines, even the juices. The breads could be more fresh. We had a room on the 2nd (upper floor), which I believe are the nicest rooms just below the roof top. Although the stairs are easy to walk, you have to walk 3 stairs to arrive to the upper floor. For us not a problem but for someone who has difficulties walking stairs, it might be.
Ideal location within easy walking distance of all major sights, galleries etc. Great bathroom. Characterful bedroom and comfy large bed. Good air con and effective double glazing.
Breakfast was a bit weird; there were some nice fresh rolls available, but most of it was overpackaged and plastic. For an italian hotel not to have decent coffee or fresh real orange juice was very disappointing.
I found this hotel to be very charming and enjoyed staying there very much. The people working there seemed genuinely friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. The room was small, but comfortable with room for everything. It had lots of little extra's that were much appreciated like hooks & shelves to put things on, screens on the window, and a nice big bathroom & shower. This was our 3rd hotel in Italy and the only one with this attention to detail that made our stay much more comfortable. The decor was just lovely with the painted ceiling, pretty bedspreads, and delicate wrought iron details-it was exactly what I wanted from a hotel in Italy. They had a nice/typical breakfast and I was happy with the location, not too far to walk to anything & found plenty to eat nearby. I would stay here again with hesitation, best hotel experience in our 2 week trip.
Even though it is a short walk from the train station, it was difficult to maneuver through busy streets and sidewalks with too many people with our luggage. Do yourself a favor and take a cab!
Room is very clean, Service is perfect, staff is so friendly, location is close to the market and restaurants.
Location, location and location. Easy to do sightseeing, shopping to nearly most of popular points of Florence old city region. In addition, it is quite spacious with over 4.5 meter height. Our room is decorated and designed as 2 levels and still comfortable. Breakfast is also not bad.
A cosy small hotel with friendly and helpful Nadine and Givanni. Relatively spacious room. A good Internet connection in the room. Close proximity to all the major attraction.
Poor lighting in the bathroom eg. For applying make-up. Difficulty in regulating the shower water temperature and the shower head is badly placed for the comfort of older people.
Very friendly and helpful staff, the room was kept in perfect order, very close to the centre of Florence (5 min walk from the Duomo). The room was small but quite adequate. By continental standards the breakfast was good. I understand the hotel was rated 2-star but in my opinion it should have been at least 3-star.
The hotel was in an excellent location, close walk to both the Duomo, the leather market, and the train station. The staff was fantastic and extremely helpful. The hotel room was huge and very well kept, with a nice "traditional" look to them (the pictures online are very accurate). Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends!
The towels were definitely odd and not "normal" but effective. And if you do need wi-fi access you just have to ask the front desk and they can give you a router, as we found out after three days of looking for a wi-fi hotspot on the streets of Florence.
The front desk staff were excellent, all our requests were accommodated and they were always friendly and helpful.
Staff very helpfull and friendly. Room and bathroom spic and span every day. Great beds. Location superb (all sights and musea within walking distance). I travelled with my sister-in-law, so on our reservationform we asked for two separate beds. We got a very nice room with two floors: we both had our own floor!
We had a comfortable stay for four nights,it has beautiful design and very convenient access to sightseeing places, few mins walk to the market and central station, hotel is located in a quiet place, the good thing is that they have BBC and CNN.
The room was spacious and the staff were friendly. The hotel was in an ideal location for a short city break.
The towells were not really towells, it was like drying yourself with a tea-towell.
The hotel was in a perfect position and exactly as represented on the web site, lots of charm and character for a little establishment rather than a glitzy larger and more expensive hotel. Even larger than expected for a room for Europe. Very close to the Duomo and markets, many fabulous restaurants close by as well. The thing we liked the most though would have to be Giovanni the manager and his very friendly female helper who welcomed us with hugs and kisses !! Both had very good english and were so friendly and helpful we did not want to leave.
I checked the hotel on the Google street cam and was nearly put off by all the graffiti on the surrounding buildings. Most of the businesses had metal shutters down and it looked rather sleezy and a little dangerous. do not be put off by that. It was in a very narrow street and just off the main square. Graffitti is very commonplace in Florence ( sadly) and the area was not at all dangerous and was quite charming and pleasant.
the receptionist is very friendly and helpful. She is very nice. the room is clean, very big and lovely. the location is very close to atrractive places in the city. we love it and want to stay again.
everything are nice and great. Unfortunately, there has the fixed road to access to the hotel and there are one way. but everything was great and want to stay again.
